About the Collection

The Ravensfield Collection is an eclectic treasure trove that celebrates artistic achievement, curiosity, and wonderment. From masterful paintings and sculptures, to unique archeological findings and curios from across the globe, the collection competes with some of the biggest museums in the world in terms of its impeccable curation and the rarity of every single object that comprises it.

Railroad tycoon and philanthropist H.C. Ravensfield shared the collection with the public for the first time in 1912, although his family's role as curators and patrons of the arts can be traced all the way back to the Middle Ages. Since then, every new generation inherits the responsibility of caring for the collection and adding new pieces to its extensive catalog—making sure the Ravensfield Collection stays alive, relevant, and evergrowing.
